Same here, I still find it difficult to remember the new English names. I do know their Japanese names though. Start playing Pokemon Black or White, you might find it confusing at first but after playing it for a while, you'll get used to it. I had no idea when I started playing White, because it was Japanese translated version. But with the help of online sites (Bulbapedia, Serebii... etc), I made it through. So, give it a shot. Believe me, you are gonna LOVE it. I have done all of the above, but I'm still not entirely fluent with the Isshu/Unova Dex, it's probably because we are no longer as actively involved in solely Pokémon-centric discussion. ._.
