The pages reveal that there will be updated Ken Sugimori artwork for most of the Gold and Silver Pokemon. Since most Pokemon artwork from that generation is almost ten years old, the new artwork will better match the more modern look of Pokemon from the other three generations. Additionally, it appears that instead of redesigning Kris, the female character from the second generation, a completely new female character was created instead. Her name is not known at this time.

In regards to locations from the original games, on the second page under Gold's elbow you can see Sprout Tower's profile shot, which, as when entering new locations in FireRed and LeafGreen, will most likely display when going inside the tower. On the third page under Wobbuffet's tail, Slowpoke Well is shown. Ilex Forest appears to be featured on the bottom of the fifth scan, since Celebi's shrine is present. It also looks as if the Pikachu-Colored Pichu from the 12th movie downloads will play a role in HeartGold and SoulSilver, apparently activating an event within Ilex Forest once transferred over.
No specific release date has been mentioned by any official source yet, though rumors are flying that the games will hit shelves sometime toward the second half of September.

For one, you'll have the ability to choose between a female and male trainer now, and it's hinted that you'll even get to ride around on a skateboard. On top of that, your Pokegear seems to have received an update (including a camera), and a few familiar Pokemon (and places) have received a refresh, naturally. The games are even going to feature expanded Wi-Fi settings, building on what was established with Diamond and Platinum.

The girl looks cute actually, I guess adding her instead of Crystal might be something new and original for the game. I would like to see her sprite. Hmm, the Pichus are shown both the Notch Eared and the Pikachu colored one as well. Could this mean the Notch Eared Pichu will be capturable as I suspected? Could this mean the Pikachu Colored Pichu will be an event that is also able to be captured as well? We'll all know over time.

Though, in the Pichu pic the starter wasn't following, does this mean the Pokémon that follows can be changed with the first party Pokémon on your team, who knows.

Well, the Pokgear is now a watch, and blue and pink as well, very nice! I expect seeing this as the touch screen item for the DS.

If you haven't noticed, then the entire game menu is now shifted to the touch screen, which would be the most awesome change of them all. And so I guess even the Pokégear will be accessed through the touchscreen only (similar to Pokétch on D/P/Pt).

Hm.. if that happens i'll smack Nintendo lol
