The Indian Premier League (also known as the "DLF Indian Premier League" and often abbreviated as IPL), is a Twenty20 cricket competition created by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and chaired by the Chairman & Commissioner IPL, BCCI Vice President Lalit Modi.

So with regards to the Cricket Fever of Indians, we are starting a Stakes game for the members of this forums.

The Game uses Pokies instead of Money.
In the first phase we will decide the team owners. Each member may buy as many teams as he can pay for.
The team auction will held as such:
Each member may put a stake of Pokies to buy any three teams, he can therefore start the bidding for one team only. Then, if any other member want to buy the same team, he will have to place higher bid and so on.
The highest Bidder gets the team.
If the following team wins the IPL, the member will get 3 times the Pokies he paid for it in the initial bid.
Each team however needs to pay tax per game, and has to buy at least 16 players. So while bidding please take care that you can pay for such.
Each team brings you a Bonus player.

This is not a 'white collered' method to gain pokies, by cheating people..

Dude, you will get back the pokies as soon as the IPL start, I have given 1000 pokies. Do I complain? Nope, 'cause this ain't real money.
Also rules don't change because you ask for it.
And anyways, as soon as the IPL start you will earn money.
This is just a game like monopoly, you are investing money and soon you will earn.

But even in monopoly, the end bidder gives money.
In this case, I would have to give 50, then u have to give 51, then again IF I bid more then I will have to give 52 or more.
IPL will get 50+51+52 pokies and still no guarentee that the team is yours. So why?? These arent the rules.
This is cheating.

You give 50.
I give 51.
You give 2 more.
I give 2 more.
You give 2 more.
I don't give.
You get the team + my pokies.
This is the rule.

So you have >1000 pokies. Plus if I give up then you will get my >50 pokies.
This is not the way how auction is done.
