In this topic, I am going to rate all of the pokemon movies and will tell why I have liked (or disliked) it.
First note that these are my views and they (may) differ from person to person.
These are my views after viewing all of pokemon movies.

Pokemon Movie 1:
'Pokémon the First Movie - Mewtwo Strikes Back'
Location: Fine and mystic Faraway Island
Good Features : Atempt as a first pokemon movie. Good explanation of emotions between the original one and the cloned one.
Bad Things: Focus on only powerful pokemons and the twerps forget the plot. And the mewtwo is too easily convinced.
Overall: Good attempt as a first movie.
My Rating: 6/10

Pokemon Movie 2:
'Pokémon the Movie 2000 - The Power of One'
Location: old good Orange Archipelago
Good Features: Ash's role is very much important. Good soundtrack. Starring of 4 legendary pokemons at a time. (Misty is Jealous )
Bad Things: The plot is easily guessable as the villain is introduced at a very early stage.
Overall: Ok. Fine attempt but fails to grab the viewers full attention.
My Rating: 5.5/10

Pokemon Movie 3:
'Pokémon 3: The Movie - Spell of the Unown'
Location: Beautiful and pleasent Greenfield
Good Features: Introduction to unown's world. Good description of emotions of Delia as the mother of other child.
Bad Things: Bulky and loose story. Some things are not well explained at the end.
Overall: Hmm Ok. Not as good as expected from first johto movie.
My Rating: 4.5/10

Pokemon Movie 4:
'Pokémon 4Ever - Celebi: Voice of the Forest'
Location: Unmentioned Forest
Good Features: Nice graphics, nice story. Good show of celebi's powers.
Bad Points: Minor logical conflicts like existance of 'grandfather paradox'.
Overall: First ever movie that is full of emotions and well balanced.
My Rating: 7.5/10

Pokemon Movie 5:
'Pokémon Heroes'
Location: Mind blowing Alto Mare(based on Venice, Italy)
Good Features: Full of complex emotions. Nice graphics, nice story. Good songs. First ever movie based on real life location. Gives you an idea how Advanced Generation is going to be.
Bad Points: Not much, but Latios dies which hurts. But after all thats the part of the story.
Overall: Fantastic, great. First ever movie that makes you cry.
My Rating: 8.5/10

Pokemon Movie 6:
'Jirachi: Wish Maker '
Location: Carnival Valley
Good Features: Cute friendship of Jirachi and Max. Nice plot and development of the story.
Bad Points: The evilness of Butler is too early revealed which pins the balloon of excitement.
Overall: Great as a first 'Advanced Generation' movie. Very touching.
My Rating: 8/10

Pokemon Movie 7:
'Destiny Deoxys'
Location: Digital, modern LaRousse City (based on Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada)
Good Features: Nice city and environment. Good relations between the deoxys and Tory.
Bad Points: Loose plot. Bad 'manga type graphics'(which I hate the most).
Overall: Bad. Not fulfilling your expectations while starring two powerful pokemons.
My Rating: 3.5/10

Pokemon Movie 8:
'Lucario and the Mystery of Mew'
Location: Beautiful Tree of beginning and marvellous Cameran Palace
Good Features: Debut of powerful lucario. Nice story, soundtrack. Good graphics and introducing many new concepts like 'aura and time flower'
Bad Points: Mew again, huh?(doesn't matter much but how many times that cutie mew will have role?)
Overall: Fantastic, a must watch movie though it could be better.
My Rating: 9/10

Pokemon Movie 9:
'Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea'
Location: Beautiful Sea Temple and marine environment.
Good Features: Introducing many gen 4 pokemon. Nice graphics and emotions as starring May as (assumed or what u say?) Manaphy's mother. Pokemon Ranger is starred in the movie too.
Bad Points: Hmm what? Ok, I will tell you when I notice one.
Overall: Fantastic. Another must watch movie.
My Rating: 8/10

Pokemon Movie 10:
'The Rise of Darkrai'
Location: Alamos Town (based on Barcelona, Spain)
Good Features: Introducing brand new darkrai, dialga, palkia and fully evolved starters. Nice story. First part of trilogy. Good soundtrack. Cilmax.
Bad Points: Some things are kept suspense but they are to be revealed later. At some moments(only some moments) it is loosened but quickly made on its path.
Overall: Good as 1st generation 4 movie. As good as it should be.
My Rating: 7.5/10

Pokemon Movie 11:
'Giratina and the Sky Warrior'
Location: Small town, Reverse world and Garcedia flower garden
Good Features: Brand new pokemons (Giratina and Shymin) and their two froms(each). Nice story and soundtrack(especially Its a beautiful world). Brand new world - the Reverse world. Touch of humor. Second Part of Trilogy.
Bad Points: The reverse world could have illustrated better.
Overall: Great, Simple great.
My Rating: 9.5/10

Pokemon Movie 12:
'Arceus and the Jewel of Life
Location: Michina Town (Based on Meteora, Greece)
Good Features: Epic movie. Best graphics, story and sounds. Third Part of trilogy. Debut of Creator of Pokemon : ARCEUS!
Bad Points: Nope!
Overall: Great, awesome, marvelous.
My Rating: 9.5/10

Pokemon Movie 13:
'Phantom Ruler Z(Announced Japanese Title)'
Location:?
Good Features: Featuring greatest number of legendary pokemons - celebi, legendary dogs,(ho oh and lugia may appear). May introduce generation 5 pokemon. Ash will encounter face to face the darker version of himself.
Bad Points: How can I know?
Overall: Sounds great!
My Rating : at least above 8/10

You have watched these movies recently haven't you?
You ratings have two major errors:
First is that since you have watched the movies recently you compare the graphics and soundtracks and plotting according to the Current technology. You forget that it is impossible to use the Graphics of Movie 12 in Movie 3. Moreover you fail to see that at that time we hade much less deeper plots, fewer Pokémon and Moves.
Second you are rating it from the view of someone who has a higher knowledge of Pokémon and not someone in 2000.

Thats all I guess.

Sorry if I have made any mistakes.

You know the older movies may not look appealing to you but when they were launched they were as much of a senstation as their current counterparts.

Yes thats for sure.
I said I liked the celbi movie but I didnt like some of them.
And off course any Pokemon Movie is a hit and I like them all, but its a lil bit here and there.

I got it.
U want to say that at the time of older movies, there was no advance tech available so their graphix were poorer but stories were better as they used to concentrate on fewer pokemon.
Now they loose focus sometimes, but graphics are better.
But in all pokemon rocks!!

I'm wondering how the 13th movie will be. Good reviews, not much of a movie critic myself since I cant see bad parts for animation movies for some reason lol.

Yes, bad points was the hardest job for pokemon movies' review.
And, am I a movie critic? No. I just wrote my opinion.
But I wrote the obvious good and bad points for the movies. Actually all of them are great. But this is slightly here and there.
Some (like you) might agree with my viewpoint, while some (like prongs) might disagree. It depends upon each one's viewpoint.

Oh, no problem, I strive to encourage people I like and occasionally discourage the ones I dont like. But I like all of you guys, like Nish says, we're all family on DPF. And yes, your some sort of a movie critic event though it isnt hyper or anything lol.
