Greetings,

Apparently I was browsing another Pokemon forums, after a very long time, not going to name it here since it's the one that's mentioned here and there often, sometimes in your sigs. Was there after 2.5 years, heh "You last visited: 04-21-2007 at 04:46 PM". Anyhow, was checking around at the conversations, and also the kind of features they have implemented. Thought of putting up this post to collect a bit of feedback from you new era buds, about your experience on the forums from the time you joined until now.

You can use the whole DropBox forum to make a new topic for any issues however, but you may as well leave a line here. I'd like to know what you enjoy on the forums, what you like, dislike, would like to get improved, or worked on better, any modifications here and there, any nags, annoyances, etc. This will help me know on how I can make the forums better, since I'm always looking forward to doing the same.

This is a very boring site, no Acrade, no actual Quick post, no members who keep the forums crowded, no friendly Webmaster who gives you ASCII goodies= Know what? I LOVE IT!

Anyways, back to topic.

@Kawaii-Abhi: That's a great idea! With enough members now, we could have a Shoddy Tournament once I figure out how to get the server up! ^^ (I've never used Shoddy before, but I had a NetBattle RPG).

No, they aren't. phpBB 3 isn't natively AJAX'd like vB is, so unfortunately nope. Quick Edit was easily incorporated because it only takes the dynamic changing of just one single post body, not the entire topic. For Quick Posting, a new post body would have to be added altogether below existing ones, or probably if you're on Page 1 of n number of pages, then the post is supposed to go off to the last page not the first page itself.

Although, I came across this one mod that works very well, it's an AJAX way of Live updating a thread with new replies. For e.g. if you're on this thread, and at the same moment someone posts a reply, it'll appear automatically before you refresh the page to see it. But I thought that's not really something we need at the moment.


More cool themes coming up after Xmas obviously. Arcade will return soon. Virtual pets, nope, afaik no such mod yet for this version of the forums. Shoddy battles etc. = Petey's department.

I love this forum because its the first and only Desi forum.
I love everything about it except:
1. Lack of Active Members (it should be crowded with 50 people at least),
2. Lack of Active Staff Members (only max, petey and nish are active).
3. A little hard to find the stuff (because there are a lot of topics inside a single topic, so it is quite hard to find the correct topic).
4. Need some more attractions like some new games thingy and better gallary.

Well, I'm not the one to be blamed for off-topic conversations because you all started it so, that's something to be resolved amongst yourself with mutual understanding. And the Gallery is also something you are supposed to contribute to, you have but others should as well.

and what about staff members?

Thats one problem but our staff is busy for their personal reasons so they can't be brought back.
Although ofcourse you can ask to be made a mod. ;p
