Some of you (who probably know that Johto League that ran thru Johto Journeys/Johto League Champions ends with Master Quest) may be wondering why Cartoon Network just suddenly started repeats after Eps 264 - You're A Star, Larvitar instead of ending the Master Quest season with Johto League battles.
Well... It's like this. Mostly any anime or cartoons have seasons of 52 eps each as 1 eps per week upto 1 yr = 52 weeks = 1 season per year.
The Pokemon series is also shown in the same way, tho we don't get it once a week but 5 times a week thanks to CN.
'You're a Star Larvitar' was the 52nd episode of Master Quest hence the end of season 5 as per TV Series, not original seasons. Hence 12 more eps of actual Master Quest are left unaired which will be shown in Season 6 Pokemon Advanced alongwith 40 eps of Advanced.
Therefore, 12 MQ + 40 Advanced = 52 eps again in the same way.
So, as soon as the 12 eps of Master Quest are shown after the repeats, the Advanced episodes (season 6) will be shown without any delay.
You may also remember that even the Johto Journeys season in Summer 2004 was started from mid of Orange League, all so as to group eps into slots of 52.
